Baby Pikachu (with pattern) by aphid777 Baby Pikachu (with pattern) by aphid777
First off, this pattern is incomplete.  I was not able to write proper instructions for the tail, just a really rough one that I have posted in my scraps here: fav.me/d74nhwc  I apologize for that, but I hope the notes I have will help!

I don't know if I'm completely happy with how Pikachu's face turned out.. I don't think he looks quite accurate, but it was difficult balancing accuracy with a similar style to the other three.  The ears are floppy on purpose because I like floppy ears :D  Eyes and other details are needle felted, though I'm sure regular cut out felt or embroidering will work too.   Let me know if you catch any errors!  Hope you guys have a great weekend and happy crocheting! :)

Baby Pikachu Pattern:

As usual, please credit me should you use or alter this pattern since it takes me a lot of time to figure out and type these up and please be respectful and don't sell the finished product since I don't own this character!  Thank you!

If you would like to make a donation to fuel my yarn addiction and for the free patterns, I would be ever-so grateful! :dummy:

-------

Arms:

**For optional fingers, include puff stitches.  Otherwise, ignore the slip stitches and puff stitches and just do single crochet stitches.

Puff stitch:
Do 3 incomplete double crochet stitches (all but the last step of the double crochet stitch) into the same stitch.   You should have 4 loops on your hook at this point.  Yarn over and draw the yarn through all 4 loops to complete.  Make sure  to tighten this stitch as much as you can before continuing to prevent holes from forming.

Heyo!

Could you tell me how to incorporate the brown yarn for the stripes on the body?

Hello!  I needle felted the brown striped onto the body after assembling everything.  You can also cut out some brown felt and glue/sew it on :)

I really enjoy your patterns. You write them out really well and make it easy to understand.

I'm really glad they're understandable!  That's usually what I'm worried about most about my patterns, whether people can understand the gibberish I'm spouting out :XD:

There's a lot of tutorials online if you'd like to learn the basic stitches :) I use pretty common abbreviations too! ;)
